As a group, the Weatherford ISD staff is one of the largest donors to the Weatherford ISD Education Foundation! If you are already giving to the Foundation, THANK YOU!

If you would like to join us and support fellow teachers, staff, and students by making a one time donation or through a payroll deduction, we make it easy for you!

In appreciation, every staff member who donates $30 or more by making a one time donation or by donating $3/month or more through payroll deduction will receive:

  • A coupon for a free 8” pizza with one topping from The Pizza Place
  • A coupon for a free bundtlet from Nothing Bundt Cakes (Hudson Oaks location)

Donations to the WISD Education Foundation are used to fund innovative teaching grants, scholarships to teachers, school supplies for students in need, and to support the Heather’s Books legacy project that provides books to WISD Pre-K students.

Giving Tuesday
 
Giving Tuesday - November 29, 2022
On giving Tuesday, we invite you to support our Heather's Book program by donating $20 to the WISD Education Foundation. Donations may be made online through our PayPal account or by mail. Your donation of $20 will provide 5-6 books for a Weatherford ISD Pre-K student. 
 
In the fall of 2018, the Weatherford ISD Education Foundation added a new funding priority called Heather's Books. Launched in memory of Ikard Elementary teacher Heather Holland, this legacy program continues her dream of instilling a love of reading in children.  
 
The Weatherford ISD Education Foundation gives each Pre-K student a $10 Heather's Books voucher to purchase books from their school's fall and spring book fairs. 
 
In the first three years of this program, over 3,100 books have been provided to over 500 children. Most importantly, we gave some children the opportunity to own their very first book.

Memorials and Honorariums
The Education Foundation is grateful to receive donations in honor or memory of a special person.  When submitting your honorarium or memorial donation, please include the name of the person you are honoring along with the name and address of the person who should receive notification of your donation.  
 
Matching Gifts
Ask your employer if they have a matching gifts program.  Some companies will match your donation to the Education Foundation dollar for dollar, doubling your donation!
