The Weatherford ISD Education Foundation provides new school supplies and backpacks for students in need so they can focus on learning instead of worrying about what they’re missing. This program provides students with the essential tools for learning.

Since 2000, the Weatherford ISD Education Foundation has been making a lasting difference for teachers and students across our district. What began as a simple idea — to give educators the resources they need to inspire students — has grown into a community-wide effort that touches every campus.
Over the years, we’ve awarded more than $1.79 million in classroom grants, helping teachers bring creative and engaging learning experiences to life. From robotics to reading corners, these projects spark curiosity and make learning unforgettable.
We’ve also provided new school supplies and backpacks to more than 25,000 students since 2003, ensuring every child starts the school year ready to learn.
Through our Heather’s Books program, we’ve shared the joy of reading with our youngest learners, giving more than 5,700 Pre-K students a book of their very own during the program’s first four years.
And because great teachers never stop learning, we’ve awarded over $37,000 in scholarships to help WISD educators continue their education and grow as professionals.
Each of these numbers represents real people — teachers who dream big and students whose lives are changed because our community believes in them.
