The goals of the Dual Language Immersion/one-way are as follows:



  • Bilingualism and Biliteracy
  • Grade level academic success in both languages
  • Socio-cultural competence

 

 

The goals of Transitional Bilingual/early exit are as follows:



  • Use Emergent Bilingual student's primary language to promote high levels of oral language proficiency and literacy in English.
  • Achieve proficiency in all academic subjects, meeting or exceeding state standards
  • To instill confidence, self-assurance, and a positive identity with their cultural heritages.  

 

 

The goals of the English as a Second Language Program are as follows:



  • Ensure Emergent Bilingual students learn content while they acquire English skills
  • Orient Emergent Bilingual students to the American school environment, customs, and practices so they become active members of society
  • To instill confidence, self-assurance, and a positive identity with their cultural heritages.
