We appreciate your interest in becoming a substitute for Weatherford ISD! Applications for the 25/26 school year are open.

Qualifications
  • Have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Meet minimum age requirement for teacher certification (18)

NOTE: All substitutes in the Weatherford Independent School District are required to comply with the fingerprinting requirements of Senate Bill 9. After completing the required Substitute Orientation an individual’s name will be submitted to the State Board of Educator Certification (SBEC) to begin the fingerprinting process. The cost for this is paid by the substitute at the time of fingerprinting.
 
Application Process
  • When the need for additional substitutes arises, the substitute teaching application will be posted on the Weatherford ISD SchoolSpring site.  Applicants should select Human Resources and then Employment Opportunities to access available positions.
  • Selected applicants will be contacted by email from the Substitute Coordinator to schedule an in-person interview. Applicants who are chosen to move forward will be invited to attend the next available orientation session. Orientation sessions are scheduled as needed to ensure the district maintains an adequate substitute roster.
  • Applicants who are not selected will be notified by email. Application information will be retained in the database, allowing individuals to reapply when the position is reposted on the district website

 

Substitute Pay Rates

 

 

Substitutes will earn premium pay for substitute assignments on Mondays and Fridays.
