To Call Long Distance Numbers:

Standard classroom telephones require users to enter a personalized access code when calling long distance numbers. Each employee has their own access code which may NOT be shared. This access code may be used on any district telephone with the exception of those telephones removed from the long distance system.

To obtain an access code, please contact your principal or department chair.

If you have already acquired your access code and do not remember it, please call the Technology Department at 817.598.2915 or extension 3050.

How to use your long distance access code:
  1. Call the long distance number you are trying to reach.
  2. You will be prompted for your access code.
  3. Enter your six-digit access code on the number pad of your phone.
  4. Once you enter your six-digit access code, the call will then be completed.

How to Reset a Classroom Telephone

If your telephone isn’t able to dial out there are several ways to reset it. The first and easiest way to reset your phone is to disconnect the LAN cable from the back of the telephone.

Remove the stand and you will see something that looks like this:
Phone
If there is power connected to the phone (optional on some campuses), unplug the power adapter, count to 10, and reconnect the adapter. Doing so resets the phone without having to unplug the LAN cable.

To reset a phone with no power connected to it, unplug the LAN cable, count to 10, and reinsert the cable.

There may also be cables in the PC and HEADSET sockets. These should not be unplugged.

If your phone indicates there is an IP CONFLICT or duplicate IP, please press the REBOOT option on your phone. This conflict will look something like this:

IP CONFLICT
With client on address
00:00:00:00:00:00
IP Address 192.168.xxx.xxx
REBOOT RESUME

If rebooting doesn’t fix the issue, unplug the LAN cable, count to 10, and reinsert the cable.

Replace the stand and your phone is ready.
