Personal Devices - Connect a Phone to the WISD Network

Phones and their operating systems vary depending on manufacturers and versions of the devices you are using. Review your manufacturer’s literature to determine the most up-to-date process for connecting to a new wireless network.
 
Here are steps for connecting WISD network for some common phone operating systems:
 

Apple iOS

  1. Open Settings > Wi-Fi
    1. Select the WISD Network
      1. Enter your WISD Username and Password
        1. Click Join
        2. Click Trust
  2. A captive portal should pop-up
    1. Enter your WISD Username
    2. Enter your WISD Password
      1. Click Sign  in with Username and Password
  3. If the captive portal does not pop-up
    1. Open a Web Browser
    2. Search for https:\\login.linewize.net
      1. Click Login to Network
        1. A captive portal will pop-up
          1. Enter your WISD Username
          2. Enter your WISD Password
            1. Click Sign  in with Username and Password
  1. On your Android, select the following:
    1. Wi-Fi network: WISD
    2. EAP Method: PEAP
    3. Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPV2
    4. CA Certificate: Use system certificates, then select  Do not verify
    5. Identity: WISD email address 
    6. Anonymous: Leave Blank OR Anonymous OR District Username
    7. Password: WISD Password
    8. Domain: WISD (if required)
    9. Is this network trusted: Yes, Connect
  2. Open a Web Browser
    1. Search for a website
      1. A captive portal will pop-up
        1. Sign in using your WISD Username and Password
